Why Choose AUSTRALIA?

Australia is the sixth-largest country in the world in terms of area, and it is a continent too. It has six states and two- major territories where in most respects, these two territories serve as states. Indeed, it is a great country to live in and do business. Australian Government gives high importance to their Citizens growth and standards of living financially and economically.

Citizens spend 60% of their income on recreation, entertainment and splashing more on overseas trips. Nearly 25% of its population consists of non-Australian citizens, which shows the country’s huge immigration rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Detailed information on all the visa options for Australia is available on their official website www.homeaffairs.gov.au/. The website especially has a 'Find a visa' tab, that provides you with appropriate visa options based on the inputs you provide for the queries. The whole process is quite user-friendly and gives you extensive information, including the application process. Ask here.

For every visa option, there is a set of supporting documents one needs to submit to initiate the process. However, the supporting documents may vary depending on the country of your residence. For more information, please check the official Australian commission website and identify these requirements, available at Belgrade, Berlin, London, Moscow.

Below listed are the parameters on which you can apply for the Australian Visa.

  • Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa (subclass 191)
  • Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
  • Skilled Regional (provisional) visa (subclass 489)
  • Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional (provisional) Visa (subclass 494)
  • Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189)

The processing time for the Visa depends on the type of Visa you have applied for. Once the application is approved, you are provided with a reference number to the online tracking system. Using the same, you can monitor the application status for all the subclasses and citizenship types. Parallelly, you can also get in touch with the embassy to know your application status. A visa grant number is generated once the application is launched. Using the same number, you can get an update by dialing the general inquiry number. Ask here.

It is suggested to not to book flights or make any other travel plan before the Visa is granted. The immigration authorities are not liable to any expenses in case the application is rejected. Do note that the processing times apply from the date when the application is lodged. Also, the Visa Finder here helps you learn about different processing times for different types of visas.

Though the assessment parameters are general, for every case that is dealt with, that might not be the case. Every case is considered one of its kind, and the actual processing times may vary on individual circumstances. Some of them include:

  • whether the applicant has lodged a complete application including all necessary supporting documents
  • how promptly the applicant responds to any requests for additional information
  • how long it takes to perform required checks
  • how long it takes to receive further information from external parties, particularly concerning health, character, national security, and Assurance of Support requirements
  • the number of places available in the migration program (for permanent migration visas)
  • surges in demand and peak periods

For the application to be processed in a given time, you must submit a complete application along with the required documents. Your ImmiAccount will assist you with the checklists for the required documents.

An EOI is different from a visa application. An EOI only serves as your interest in opting for a skilled visa. When filing your EOI, you are expected to delve a wide range of information regards to your application. This again depends on the kind of Visa you are applying. Also, an EOI does not act as a bridging visa; it is an expression of interest only. After sending your EOI across, you receive an invitation from Skill Select. Your EOI will be stored in Skill Select and is valid for two years. The period to receive the invitation after lodging the EOI may vary from 1 - 12 months.

The whole visa system depends on the point system. To lodge the EOI, you must have a minimum of 60 points. The higher the points, the lesser the period it takes for you to receive the invitation. Invitations are issues monthly and the results of the invitations are displayed on the Department of Immigration and Border Protection's (DIBP) website. Ask here.

Along with the online application, you have to attach the required documents for it to be finalized. The document checklist in your ImmiAccount will help you sort the necessary docs. Ensure that all your documents are scanned and ready before you begin to upload them. These should be scanned color copies. To avoid any hassle or mishaps, minimize your number of uploads by incorporating multiple documents in one file. Also, there is a limitation to the file size and the type of pictures to upload. Please ensure to read the restrictions and guidelines before uploading. Ask here.

Yes, as long as you have a relevant visa with a work permit that enables you to work, you can. However, few visas strictly do not let you work. For example:

  • With a tourist visa, one cannot work at all.
  • With a student visa, you can work only up to 20 hrs a week.
  • And, with a working holiday visa, you are not allowed to work for any employer for more than six months.

For any visa you apply, always ensure to check the special work conditions or restrictions listed.

The Department of Home Affairs (DOHA), if once cancels your Visa, the same notice is sent to in writing. With an Australian visa, it depends on the individual as to how persuasive he is in presenting his case. The documents submitted play a crucial role. However, once the case officer rejects the Visa, they do not revisit the case and review the judgment. Only, in the 3 cases mentioned below, the verdict can be reviewed. Ask here.

They are:

  • By applying for a merits review through the Administrative Appeals Tribunal
  • A judicial review through the Federal Court
  • Intervention by the Minister for Immigration

Australia is known for its excellent education system. There are a variety of courses offered by prestigious universities for all age groups. However, Australia takes pride in taking in the best of the students only. Hence the ever-changing immigration rules and checkpoints. Recently they have added the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement in which every student is assessed as to if their intentions are genuine or not. Always check the official for any authentic information nd, do not rely on any immigration agents. Ask here.

If you plan to marry, already married or in a de-facto relationship with an Australian citizen or permanent resident, you can migrate through a partner based Visa. In this Visa, your partner will act as a sponsor for your Visa through a written pledge of support. The sponsor is responsible for your accommodation and financial assistance for 2 entire years. Once the 2 years is completed, you can directly apply for a permanent residency. Families who want to migrate are assessed individually. The parameters for the assessment include but are not limited to health and character requirements. Ask here.

  • Spouse Visa You are eligible for a spouse visa migration if you are married to an Australian citizen or a permanent resident for at least 12 months
  • Fiancé Visa If you are engaged to an Australian Citizen or a permanent resident, you are eligible for a fiance Visa.
  • Interdependent Partner Visa Any person who is in an independent and genuine relationship with an Australian Citizen or a permanent resident and wishes to migrate is eligible to apply for this Visa. This applies to same-sex couples too.
  • Parent Visa If your child is an Australian citizen or a permanent resident, then you are eligible to apply for a parent visa. However, the child, in this case, acts as a sponsor.
  • Contributory Parent Visa The only difference is the waiting period this Visa is shorter than the already mentioned parent visas.
  • Family Relationship Visa The primary purpose of this Visa is to provide an opportunity for a young family member to learn and experience living in Australia for 12 months while staying with family.

The Australian Migration Act 1958 and the Migration Regulations 1994 Act state that an Australian citizen, permanent citizen, and a New Zealand citizen is eligible to sponsor family members to migrate to Australia. However, there are a few limitations one needs to keep a check. Some visas need a legal commitment from 3 people or financial support from any organization for it to move forward. Also, some visas have capping limits in sponsoring. Ask here.

For Children

This clause is applicable only if you are under 18. If you are born to or a stepchild of an Australian Citizen or a permanent resident, you are eligible to migrate to Australia. The other condition includes, if you are under 18 and are an orphan, a qualified relative can also sponsor you. Additionally, if your child is between 18-24 age group, a full-time student, and is financially dependant on you or is disabled, they are also eligible for a visa.
